Life is good but why settle for just good when it could be great? I will tell you a story where my life enriched by Mary Kay turned to me to a woman enriching others lives.
I was a government employee, a mother of 3 and enjoying the benefit of a big salary. Back then, I was sent to trainings and meetings from different parts of the country. I thought that was enough. I enjoyed those trips (if you can call them as one.) However, my time with my family has becoming rarer and rarer to us. The children are growing. I remember missing a lot of our children’s milestones because I was away, busy in my work. Deep in my heart I want to be present for those moments because I am a stage mom only when there are no conflicts with my schedule.
One day, my son asked me to let him be part of the Philippine team in Mathematics. It was so hurting in my part because he cried. I declined because it entails 1 week training in visayas, 2 months training in luzon therefore I should be absent from work, very expensive and after the training competitions abroad will be shouldered by the parents if the school will not sponsor for it. It was hurting on my part because I am a victim also of parents who are busy in their work my mother is a government employee and my father an OFW. I know how does it feel. Here comes my children they are giving Me so much joy in their academics and extra curricular activities specially the children’s choir where they are members and won several awards.
With this, I knew I needed change for a more stable future. If only there was something, perhaps a journey that would allow me to generate income without compromising family time, I will go for it.
Last 2002 we were trained for a lot of pangkabuhayan program in our company, I tried the balloon arts business but it did not gave me the income I wanted for a sustainable business, then mary Kay was introduced to me by a friend, I started as a hostess and in that facial that we had, she was able to get 6k order in just an hour during lunch break only. it made me realized that It was a great business, so I joined.
At first, my Mary Kay (MK) business was just my part-time job. But pressure in the office like those from my supervisor asked me "How much I earned from my MK business?" and when I have official business trips he thought that I earn double my income by doing Mary Kay while doing my job. The manager who signed my travel order processes the claims of the ranks and files of the employees but the supervisor will not approve because he think that I use trips for my business. When I got my first Pink Car, he became more suspicious. When I have an official business in Iligan City, he will no longer give me a service vehicle. But since I have my Pink Car, I have to drive it myself instead. It seems that he purposely makes my job harder to let me have less time for my business.
The sad atmosphere in the office made me decide to make my Mary Kay business full time. I thank God because He made a way for me to achieve my goals and my children’s dreams. Now, I enjoyed the FREE trips in Mary Kay not just in the different parts of the country but the FREE trips abroad all expenses paid by the company. In fact, I now have 3 to 5 times income compared to my previous job and the best part is that I was able to fulfill the dream of my child to be part of the Philippine Team in Mathematics. He won so many international mathematics olympiad and excel in his academics.
My children were able to join international choir competition in Thailand and Japan and I can attend to the milestones my children are having.
The priorities of Mary Kay that God first, family second and career third is my guiding principles. With these, I can support my family that was not possible with my previous proffession.
There are a lot of reasons that I joined Mary Kay. Click the button below to be enlightened.
